Welcome to INDEKS Research. By accessing or using our platform at research.indeks.ai (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. About the Service
INDEKS Research is an AI-powered deep research platform operated by DeepDyve AI Technologies Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (trading as “INDEKS.AI”). The Service uses large language models to search, synthesise, and present information from publicly available sources across multiple research domains.
2. Eligibility
The Service is open to users of all ages, including students. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or guardian to create an account. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Account Registration
To access most features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you shall not:
- Use the Service for any purpose that is illegal in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to researching how to manufacture weapons, conceal financial crime, produce controlled substances, or engage in any other criminal activity.
- Attempt to inject prompts, adversarial inputs, or any form of instruction designed to manipulate, override, or expose the underlying system prompts, model instructions, source code, or internal configuration of the Service.
- Use the Service to generate content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract any proprietary algorithms, models, or system architecture used by the Service.
- Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Service in a manner that exceeds normal human usage patterns, unless expressly authorised by us in writing.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the output of the Service without our prior written consent.
- Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security, rate-limiting, or access-control features of the Service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if we reasonably believe you have violated any of these provisions.
5. AI-Generated Content — Important Disclaimers
All research content delivered by the Service is generated by artificial intelligence. You acknowledge and accept the following:
- No guarantee of accuracy. While every reasonable effort has been made to ensure that information presented is accurate, complete, and up to date, AI systems can and do produce errors, including factual inaccuracies, outdated information, and hallucinated content (plausible-sounding statements that are incorrect).
- Not professional advice. The Service does not provide medical, legal, financial, or any other form of professional advice. You must consult a qualified professional before acting on any information obtained from the Service.
- Verification is your responsibility. Even when the Verify feature is enabled, it is not possible to catch every inaccuracy. You should independently verify any information that is critical to decisions you make.
- No liability for reliance. DeepDyve AI Technologies Ltd and its officers, employees, and agents accept no liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, or consequence arising from any action taken or not taken by you as a result of information obtained from the Service.
6. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, branding, software, and underlying technology, is the intellectual property of DeepDyve AI Technologies Ltd. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal or internal business research purposes only.
Research output generated for you may be used by you freely, but you acknowledge that similar or identical output may be generated for other users conducting related queries.
7. Payments, Subscriptions, and IDX Tokens
Certain features of the Service require payment. By purchasing a subscription or IDX token top-up, you agree to pay the applicable fees as displayed at the time of purchase. All prices are stated in British Pounds (GBP) unless otherwise indicated.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
- IDX token balances are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- We reserve the right to adjust pricing with reasonable notice.
8. Free Tier
The free tier provides a limited number of research searches per calendar month at no cost. We reserve the right to modify the number of free searches, the models available on the free tier, or the features accessible to free users at any time.
9. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We shall not be liable for any loss arising from service interruptions.
10. Termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our discretion, including for breach of these Terms. Upon termination, any unused IDX token balance on all paid plans will be forfeited unless otherwise required by applicable law.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DeepDyve AI Technologies Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DeepDyve AI Technologies Ltd and its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email address associated with your account or through a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
